Make up Summer Course

I'm really running behind schedule with my blogposts. But ok, here is something I dit last summer :)
I went to Bournemouth for a Make-up course, three weeks in totall. The first week was beauty make-up, second week special effects and the last week editorial. I had a lot of fun and learned so much!

And of course... They also painted my face haha!

Pegleg - the black Rider

Last year we had to design costumes for the Black Rider, a musical originaly directed by Bob Wilson and with the Music of Tom Waits.

I decided to put some more energy in one of the character: The devil/Pegleg. Usually we only have to draw the costumes, but this time I felt like making something. Below some photos of the proces and the final piece

The Black Rider

I had three years of 'Material development'. I can't really translate it haha, but you have to make your own materials which work well in theater.
This time the assignment was linked to the costume project at that time: 'The Black Rider'. A musical originaly directed by Robert Wilson and with the music of Tom Waits. It's about a man who made a deal with the devil. In my material I showed what happens if you are touched by him.

First we had to make some tests before the final project, below. are three of them. I used all kinds of material, that's also important at this course haha. I used my gluegun, yarn, wax and all kinds of fabric.

After that the final piece, used my mom as model <3 After all I used a old jacket of hers. Added lights for some extra effect!

Captain Power Sculpture

A few months ago I finished my second commissioned sculpture. It's a personal character out the game City of Heroes which had been taken offline.
